what do I do if it doesn't recharge?
I plug it in to charge and it no longer charges. The led lights don't light up. When I connect it to a device, it has no power to recharge the device.
It was a Christmas gift (so its not that old) and I don't have a gift receipt. Do I just throw this away?

Try another cord to charge the battery (see if the red light turns on). I believe it is a common USB to microUSB cable. If that works, then you have a bad cable. If not, I guess your 'throw it away' is one solution. You might go back to Best Buy and see if a nice sales associate will swap a good one for your bad one. It may still be under warranty, receipt or not. Good Luck!
