I really liked Emmylou Harris in the early days... but the releases seemed to lose my interest as the years went by... so I thought I'd try this tribute with some interesting names on it.. but the song selections and even performances are just ok...and I was aware she was only on a few cuts but bought it anyways hoping for the best...I'll give it a couple of more listens and hope something sparks my interest........just was hoping for soooooo much more..... She's still a wonderful talent though.

I confess that I wasn't really familiar with this artist until I recently purchased a cd by Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer.(Where've I been...right?) I laughed when I discovered they were sisters.....So now I'm checking out more of her releases... but this one ....really got my attention!!! Talented artist to say the least....Love the music.

My first Jimmy Webb cd..... and an enjoyable listen......Just saw him perform his live Glen Campbell tribute........back to the cd: an incredible amount of special guests bring his compositions to life...Jimmy is a wonderful song writer and pianist....his vocals are a desired taste....but he has a way of making them work...I may check out another release by him.....The Joe Cocker vocal was a cool surprise... give it a listen!

This is my first CD by Ana P. I listened to many song samples of hers from a variety of releases and chose this one.. Of course ,they all sounded good, but also quite different in music styles.. (I was surprised by that.)..... But I went with this one. She has a couple of surprise guest artists as well which only adds to the fun.... I heard many good things about her...so I took a chance... and it paid off nicely. Very nice guitar and vocals....good material as well...

I like this young talent....So many of today's singers are all image and nothing else...But this vocalist has a passionate, soulful, and yes..sexy voice...Check out her tv 'crossroads' presentation where she exchanges vocals with Joss Stone if you get a chance......I do like the fact that all of her releases are a bit different in music styles... that appeals to me.

Here goes....... I like her voice (too many newer female blues artists seem to find it necessary to scream their vocals)....She sings her tunes! Enjoyable guitar work..... doesn't overplay....but has a nice touch.....the songs are good.....I think this youngster will only get better.

OK... so a lot of people who are long time fans might not like my claim... Let's face it... Graham has produced some amazing music over the years.. However, a couple of his solo releases I've had a difficult time warming up to.... But this NEW release is not only stripped down.. but his vocal style is a bit different.. It sounds fresh(not what I expected).... and I like it a lot!!! Kudos to Mr. Nash. Wonderful music.
