Quality Peace of Mind

Initially, I was hesitant to spend approx $200 for a potentially effective camera. My goal - keep an eye on my house while my family sleeps, as I am away from home.
I was absolutely surprised by the quality, ease of use and level of comfort the Nest Home Camera gave me. Additionally, the night-vision capability was was has helped me most. I am able to receive alerts if motion is detected at any time of day or night. For privacy, I can even turn the camera off by using the app.
This product is simple and easy to use, with no wiring or hassle. Just add power and wifi and you're good. I've since purchased additional Nest Home Cameras. Thanks very much Nest, and Best Buy.

Pretty Great for Obstacle Races

I loved the ability to run obstacle races with this, without worrying about the chesty in the way. The only drawback is my own sweat. Once I was really sweaty, I had to tighten the strap, since it wanted to start twisting.
Other than that, it's one of my favorite mounts. Enjoy.

Can you download video/audio onto a smart phone or laptop?
I don't wish to pay a fee to archive video/audio. Will the website archive ANY video for a short time so I can download and keep the video/audio if necessary? If so, how long will it keep the video? How long does the unit record when it detects motion?
You will have a 30-day trial to see if you're interested in the subscription, which I have found worth it. There are two options - 10-day and 30-day video history. I chose the 10-day.
If you do not have a subscription after the trial ends, no video is available on the servers for your review. With a subscription, you can download your videos and do whatever you want with them as well.
As for the recording timeline - I have found that the Nest Cameras will record for as short as 5 seconds or for sustained periods, as long as motion or associated sound continues. These times can be longer if you choose to setup 'priority boxes' in your camera's field of view.
