Works like a normal Xbox One with a 1TB hard drive. However it also has an additional feature when Powering it on and off from the console itself. It will make the sounds of an energy sword!!! The looks have grown on me and I like it.

does this have replaceable batteries?
Yes it does, just have to unscrew apart to replace. Battery life claims to be a year.
