Can any cable be used?
I'm looking to watch movies from my laptop to my TV. Both my laptop and tv have HDMI ports. I see that the cables range anywhere from $5 - $50 dollars. Which HDMI cable would you recommend? What's the difference, other than length?
given your situation would purchase the LEAST EXPENCIVE CABLES that are of the LENGTH you need and you should be fine

Is it possible to connect hdmi converting coaxial cables?
I have found vga cables with coaxial connection however cannot find hdmi convert cables to coaxial . I would like to connect my ps 2 to my flat screen to hdmi. It may not work because the ps2 is not in hd. please advise thank you
Had this same issue with the first version of the Wii , I asked the exact same question to GOOGLE ( re directed me to several sites ) and ended up purchasing a CONVERTER which worked perfectly close me about $40.00 But was worth it !

ALL HDMI CABLES ARE THE SAME - GET THE CHEAPEST SAVE SOME $$
Basically, I used to follow that line of thought until I purchased an LG 4-K TV then I started to understand why the better cables are a must ! Decide what your preferences are and what your equipment is capable of doing ? based on your decision , purchase what you will. understand that the higher end equipment requires higher end components for their best performance .End of the day remember your TV is only going to be as good as the SIGNAL( CABLE BOX, DVD PLAYER , DIGITAL ANTENNA , ECT...) it's fed ! so start with that and decide your cable needs. HAPPY HUNTING !

Your Computer ( MacBook. Pro ) should have a HDMI OUT PORT . if so then use the standard HDMI CORD understand the you will have to go into your screen settings to " Mirror your screen out . sounds complicated but you can go to YOU TUBE and see how easy this is to do.

What is the cable that I need to connect my IPAD to myTV. and where can I get it
If you DONT have APPLE TV ( then you could use its casting feature) you need a A/V adaptor either LIGHTNING or the Older 30 pin connector. the cost averages between $39-49.00 But it's So Simple to use and will allow you to show almost anything on your IPHONE/IPAD on your TV have been using this for some 8 + years and really recommend it
P.S. have to inform you that this device uses a HDMI connection ( Cord to TV ) it also charges your device while in use, which I've found to be a plus !
