This monitor is a great upgrade if you are looking to go higher than 1080p but not ready to spend 4k money. Setup was a breeze. The only thing that got me was I thought it had built in speakers but that's okay. The picture quality is phenomenal. Got it on sale for $299 so that made the purchase that much better.

Very bright and clear picture... Sound is weak...

So this TV was a replacement for a broken Hisense that I bought. This one has a great picture. Took a little setup (especially since it sort of pushes you to setup the Google Cast which is not needed... skip it if you don't have Android Google devices). Out of the box, the picture is great (didn't need to fiddle with it at all). The only issue I have it is the speakers. I have a sound bar so it's no big deal, but if you have a medium sized room, it becomes very difficult to push sound and once you do push the volume way it, it then seems a bit too loud.
Get a sound bar and this is a great tv for the price. I got it during the holiday sale for $399 so it was a win for a 55" 4K. I think it's a very good purchase for those that want to move to a 4K tv without paying over $1000.

The TV showed up broken

I can't provide a terrible review for this TV as it was broken when I set it up and turned it on. I'm not sure if it's the packaging or the handling but I don't think it would be fair to give a bad review because of it. I returned it with no issues to BestBuy who helped me by getting me a replacement tv which served my purposes (I really wanted to go with this one because of the good reviews it has had but the last TV they had just had an issue).
I still think you should give it a shot as I just happened to get a bad one that day.

Lowes is refusing to price match Best Buy because they have a different model number yet I can't find the difference. They advertise the Smart Lock as model number ASL-02, yet when I look up that number I get this model number. Are they the same?

I'm not sure why they would bundle this with the PS4 Pro as it does not have HDR support. This may be something that will be updated with a firmware update later (which I doubt) but I don't think it makes sense. I think it was just a way to push products during the holiday season as most people would see it as a benefit from a cost perspective without actually understanding the technology.

What are the reviews for playing video games on this TV?
I've been gaming on this TV a bit with both PS3, PS4 and XB1. The picture is great, response time is great. I also PC game and setup my pc to the tv but there is a major lag (it could have been because I was using a HDMI input). I didn't want to pursue it much further as it was really just a test to see how it would respond. I will probably try it again later but for consoles, it's pretty solid.

Does it come with a transmitter, or, must one be purchased separately?
The Best Buy description of the product implies that a chest strap is not included, and, does not recommend that a separate transmitter (eg. FT7, HT7) must also be purchased to obtain full functionality.
The chest strap and transmitter are both included in the packaging. You should be good to go.
