only difference is the noise canceling aspect, but to be honest these headphones are really awesome you get the same rich clear sounds as expected from this brand. The noise cancelling feature is just another added feature which you wont even notice or miss with these regular headphones

Just recently purchased a hissense 55" smart tv and it wont connect to this bluray device.
I hooked up my Sony smart TV with no issues... I am not sure what TV you have but if you are having difficulties I suggest you use Youtube as they millions of tutorials on the subject... Hope this helps.
