The original film series featuring the original cast was non-stop captivating. Of the six film feature, the one that really hit home was "Star Trek: The Voyage Home". It's my favorite amongst the original movie series. The storyline plot of saving earth and saving the most magnificent creature on the planet - the whales - is honorable and eloquent.

"Elysium" is set in a dystopian future. It's man on earth against man-made space station. The film is spectacularly filled with amazing visual and special effects, and is contained by a very cool production design and set. And, the acting is not bad also. Matt Damon and Jodie Foster go at it in this science fiction thriller. It's a great movie to add to your science film collection.

Tron just got cooler twenty-eight years later. If you liked Tron in the 1980's you will definitely love Tron: Legacy in the 2010's. This sequel contains cool visual effects, a fantastic production set and design along with a cohesive storyline. It features a digitally recreated villainous character of Jeff Bridges from the 1980's. Tron: Legacy is Disney's virtual reality sci-fi thriller.

E.T. is a sweet comedy and melodramatic science fiction movie. It is Steven Spielberg's most personal film, and one that is most personal to many childhoods. It's 1980's nostalgia at its best. In 1983 it won several Oscars for Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Visual Effects. Overall, it's a "kid empowerment flick". E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial is an enduring movie classic.
