What can you say about this. If you need to get to a projector or TV with a VGA input, you need this. In keeping your Mac versatile, Apple has decided to use Thunderbolt ports and offer adapters that fit just about anything you would ever want to hook to your computer. I have one application that uses 3 separate video feeds. No problem, just plug 'em in and turn on the projectors.
Yes, like all Apple products, setup is that simple: Plug it in - it works!

Don't Leave Home Without It

Quite frankly, I was a little disappointed when Apple made the decision to stop building in optical drives. It's a little bit annoying to have to hook up an external drive every time I want to read from or burn a CD or DVD.
So now I own 2 of these drives. One lives in the video editing suite and this one hangs out with my MacBook Pro. It worked flawlessly out of the box and required no set-up time. Of course, we've all come to expect that from Apple and once again, they delivered.
So to actually review the drive: it's lightweight, easy to carry in my computer bag and extremely durable. I've never had a bad burn and it functions very well. Since most new Macs are shipping without built-in drives, you'll need to purchase an external. You will not be disappointed in this unit!
