Does its job and retractable connector is a nice feature to protect the connector and to protect things around it from the metal corners. I prefer smaller form factor for infrequent use and this longer retractable style for more frequent insertion and removal.

Good for monitoring and ok for controlling lights

Added Smartthings after starting with Insteon. Both work with Alexa, although Smartthings integration with Alexa does not currently support getting sensor status such as temperature and open/close. I have found Smartthings compatiblity with zigbee devices a nice additional capability to save having to add a zigbee hub. Would really like to be able connect via wifi instead of wired only.

I am not technology smart. Would I be better off with a GPS without so many gadgets? I am going on a trip, and would like the best assist, but I don't want to have to study all the options, and would it be distracting?
Stay with a basic GPS unless you want the dash camera feature. The driver assist features are too finicky to minimize false alarms while alarming correctly to be useful.
