This transmitter has a strong enough signal to beat out competing radio stations. Sound quality is good, although not CD quality. On some tracks, the volume can't be turned up enough. The unit turns off too soon if there's no signal to it....like when you're deciding what album to listen to next. It can blast you out of the car if a radio station come so on. Good price.

Again, the British tracks from the 2009 remasters were used to recreate the American album. So this set does not have the American stereo versions of "I'm Only Sleeping" and "Dr. Robert" included on the original LP. You can hear their distinct elements in the mono versions, though. It IS cool that the original "butcher" cover artwork was used and paste-over "trunk" cover included.

Interesting for soundtrack music

It's fun to hear the orchestral soundtrack versions of the Beatles' songs. It's also nice to be able to compare the stereo and mono versions on the same disc. Listen for the different harmonica intros on "I Shoukd Have Known Better". But the Beatles songs are all available on other discs (some on "Something New").

There is no reason to purchase this CD outside of the box set, unless you have a sentimental attachment to the cover art. All of the tracks were released on the 2009 remasters. There is no additional artwork or photo. The only thing unique to this package is that the Apple label on the disc is the American version.

Not original Capitol tracks

Although this CD contains the track listing for the American version of "Revolver", these are tracks from the 2009 English remasters. So the distinct reverb that was added to the American records is missing on these "US albums". The only real thing of value is that you have the stereo and mono versions on the same disc. And the artwork looks like the original LP sleeve.
