Great fidelity with a lot of power

I am very happy with these speakers. Great fidelity and well balanced for optimum staging. It doesn't sound like two speakers like my old ones. The vocal track sounds like it is coming from directly in front. The power will blow the door off of your room.

Would it be possible to use this sound system to connect to an mp3 player to create my own little bedside stereo system if I wanted to?
Yes, as long as you have room for the subwoofer. The subwoofer supplies the power to the speakers so you need a 110 outlet and a place to put it. The wires are pretty long so you should be able to find a place for it.

Where's the earphone jack for private listening?
If I put the sub under my desk, will I have to reach under the desk and spin the sub around any time I want to plug or unplug headphones? I'm assuming any kind of plugging in mutes the speakers for the headphones.....?
It is on the side of the right speaker so it is easily accessible. Yes, it does mute the speakers.
