I absolutely love this washer! Was very apprehensive abput buying an HE. Never had anything besides a regular agitator washer. Clothes are clean, smell good. Most of all love the size. Can't get over how much I can wash in a load. Hubby is a big guy. Wears a 36/34 jeans. I used to be able to was 3 max in a load. Now I can wash a week's worth PLUS other items. Wash time can be a bit long depending on the cycle picked. If you don't like the times you can program your own cycle!

Is the soundtouch 20 an ample speaker for about a 1500 sq ft open area
Yes, it is ample. Great sound, but does need a power outlet.
