I didn't know if I wanted to drop this kind of money on headphones. However, I'm in medical school and constantly listen to music and or lectures so I wavee goodbye to my cash. I couldn't be more happy. When you first put them on and crank up some tunes you'll hear new aspects to songs that where previously not there
. Music with big bass definitely sounds the best on these. My only concern is the plastic feels breakable. That's a lot of money down the drain if they break. Oh almost forgot. .. sound does leak at volumes 50% and over. ... don't be that guy that makes everyone around them listen because that's not cool.

All in all now that Gen 1 are on sale, give them a try abs you'll be more than pleased.

What's great about it: Looks great, sounds great

What's not so great: feel like they can easily break
