The sound out of this thing is fantastic, but I am docking two stars:
-1 For the sound not getting as loud as I would like, even in a 10x10' bedroom.
-1 For the optical audio port making the speakers hum (think of a dog whistle) at a very high frequency. It doesn't squeal over HDMI.
