Reference quality horror 4K

I was blown away by the 4K transfer. You wouldn't expect a dark horror movie like Saw to be that good in 4K but it definitely was. In the dark scenes the black levels are great and there is a lot of shadow detail. In the brighter scenes the HDR shines. The 4K also brings a huge increase in detail; you can see every mark and scratch on the traps and every drop of blood. Very crisp clear picture quality.
The movie itself is just ok. It's definitely not the best Saw movie--far from it--but it's not the worst either. I just expected more from it. As a sequel it didn't really bring anything new to the table or further the Saw mythology. Definitely worth a watch if your a fan of the other movies.

I've always liked the Saw movies. I like the intricacy and the detail that goes into the traps. The first four movies are my favorite, followed by 6; 5; 7. They are definitely classics in their own right, and they redefined the gore horror sub-genre. A must own for any horror fans.

This is one of my favorite superhero movies. It's bloody and violent but also thoughtful and surprisingly poignant. The 4K brings a nice increase in detail and clarity. And the Steelbook adds a nice thouch. Definitely recommend.
