The difficulty of remakes is some people complain if a movie is too similar to the original, and then other people complain if the movie is too dissimilar. It is nearly impossible to please both masters. This remake took the latter approach.
The director took the basic set-up of the original film and then took it in a different direction. The original Robocop is about a man inside a machine clawing to regain a semblance of humanity. The remake is about a man who slowly sees his humanity stripped away in the name of "convenience." I think the movie would have been well received if it was its own IP instead of having to stand in the shadow of the original.

I drove two hours to see the original Shaun of the Dead in theaters and it did not disappoint. The thematic follow-up Hot Fuzz poked fun at the conventions of cop movies.
The 3rd film, the World's End is still enjoyable, but doesn't meet the highs of the previous films. Partly this is because the swerve that occurs at the midpoint of the film was spoiled by marketing. So the tension and mystery that should be building in the first half doesn't exist because you already know what is coming.

Raiden was not that beloved when he was introduced in Metal Gear Solid 2, but in this outing he is a badass. The game features brutal Devil May Cry-esque combo-based melee combat.

If you have any interest in playing the the DLC scenarios this is the version to get. I own the base game for free through Playstation Plus but it is cheaper to rebuy the complete package on disc than to purchase the season pass (which never goes on sale).

Brimming with satire of 80's excess and corporate greed, the original Robocop is a violent delight. It's the story of a cop, Alex Murphy whose humanity is stolen as his body and brain are used as components in a police cyborg.

I've always preferred straight dollar value gift cards instead of the points system still used by Nintendo and that was previously used by Xbox. Rather than constantly having to do currency conversions to approximate how much you are spending, with a dollar value you know exactly what you are spending.
The cards are made of sturdy material and it is easy to scratch off the coverings to get to the 12 digit code.

Though some painted Spartacus as a Gladiator and 300 ripoff it quickly came into its own after a half dozen episodes. The sharp, colorful dialoge; the twisting Machiavellian scheming; and the excellent fighting sequences were a joy to watch. Though the final season lags a bit in the beginning, as the protagonists becomes increasingly desperate in the latter half it makes for great TV.
Season 9 of the supernatural series begins with the fallout from heaven's angels descending to earth. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) suddenly find themselves living in a world that is now inhabited by thousands of powerful, angelic beings, some of whom want them dead. The brothers then embark on a journey to reopen the gates of heaven. Meanwhile, Castiel (Misha Collins) struggles to survive without his powers and embarks on living as a human; Crowley (Mark Sheppard), the King of Hell, is kidnapped by Dean in order to find demons on earth; and Abaddon (Alaina Huffman), the Knight of Hell, reappears with plans to take over hell once and for all.

When the creator Eric Kripke left the series at the end of the season 5 there was worry the show would drop in quality. Those fears were not unfounded as two uneven seasons followed. A new showrunner was brought in at the start of season 8.
Things improved in season 8 but it was not until season 9 that things started firing on all cylinders again. The fallout from the end of Season 8 set-ups a conflict that lasts throughout the season, ending on the most jaw dropping cliffhanger of the entire series.
