The monitor was simple to setup, unfortunately if you have a newer (3yrs?) PC, you'll want a cable of higher quality than the practically useless vga cable provided. So factor that into your total costs.

Remote for all my devices

It was a bit of a pain to put buttons back in the old remotes (and find them) to upgrade from my old learning remote to this new one, but worth it. Didn't have to learn anything for my existing Sony products. Also, it appeared to be lighting up and working/learning when actually the batteries weren't quite strong enough to learn. Make sure all the remotes have full batteries. This remote controls everything smoothly with no technical issues now. I wish it had more backlit buttons for use in the dark, but eventually I will have them all memorized, I guess.
What's great about it: Controls TV, receiver, blu-ray easily, good price
What's not so great: Wish more buttons were backlit
