AWESOMENESS

When I went to see this film, I expected it to be good. I expected the usual Disney "talking animal" movie, some fun moments, and pretty animation. What I did not expect was a story that deals with some very uncomfortable truths about our world, brilliantly told in a way that anyone can understand and that are woven into the plot, rather than beating you over the head with the message.
I did not expect such a wonderful, strong, well written female lead. I did not expect the main characters to not have a forced, shoehorned in romantic subplot. I did not expect the best Disney movie since Lilo and Stitch, and easily my favorite since The Lion King. Everything about this movie is wonderful, from the animation to the voices to the music to the story to the messages.
I did not expect to so completely love the main characters, who are so well written and fully realized that when the movie's tearjerker moments hit you they don't feel forced because you really believe these characters. Judy dealing with her latent mistrust of foxes, Nick dealing with society's view of foxes, and how both of these characters overcome their past trauma and grow is fantastic and some of the best character writing I've seen in a major release.
I can't possibly say enough good things about this movie. If I DO have a negative, it's that from now on all animated movies (and most live action ones) will fall short of this film's strengths.
If Frozen is a 8/10, Big Hero 6 is a 9/10, and Wreck-It Ralph is a 10/10, Zootopia is an 11/10

Huge FAN of KURT RUSSELL

Watch immediately if you're a fan of Kurt Russell or original horror movies. The writer/director does not disappoint in crafting a very original, entertaining Western that approaches a gory conclusion ominously and with very well-crafted dialogue. The acting is mostly very good. Russell, as always, is a badass. Richard Jenkins delivers an outstanding performance and Patrick Wilson shines as well. Prepare yourself for a slow burn that doesn't rely on cheap scares or predictable action sequences.

Imperfect but Worthy

Not perfect, particularly the editing, but visually stunning with a strong story line and not your typical battle story. Jackie Chan shines both in acting and fighting. John Cusack has never been better. Adrien Brody has a smaller but strong part. Will watch this again.

Wasn't a fan from start to finish

In this day and age of mega block buster CBM's, you'd think it would be impossible for a Comic book film to flop as poorly as Trank and company had with this God awful reboot. Yet Fox apparently wanted to outdo themselves when it came to Elektra level quality. But no one should be all that surprised since the red flags were there for anyone with 20/20 vision to see. From the poor casting choices, to the suspect director. Waiting until just before the deadline to start filming, the rumors of Fox looking for a new director right before filming and being super secretive about the film while taking forever to show a trailer once filming wrapped. The signs were there!
Every 7 years Fox has to make a Fantastic Four film in order to hold on to the movie rights, otherwise it reverts back to Marvel Studios and we can actually get a good F4 film this lifetime. In other words, this reboot was the pathetic last minute movie rights grab that most Fantastic Four fans thought it would be!
Save your time and money people! The story was weak, the effects were the equivalent of PS2 graphics in most parts and they screwed up Marvel's most iconic super villain Dr. Doom yet again. You actually have put in effort to make a film as terrible as this film was and Trank's Twitter rant speaks for itself. So whether it was Josh Tranks fault or Fox's fault that this film did so poorly, I couldn't care less at this point. What I do want to know is why Fox hasn't called Marvel-Disney to make a deal to give this franchise back yet! It's the only money they're likely to get for this film.
