Works very well on wood, tile, and similar flooring (setting 1), as well as short pile carpet (setting 2). LiIon battery life is good, could be longer; recharges easily, but takes over an hour. Canister empties easily, but do in garbage can for both the lower and upper sections. Great on dog hair. There's a foam filter that needs to be removed and rinsed. Follow the instructions: wait 24 hours before reinstalling. Sounds labor intensive, however, good maintenance will result in outstanding service. Moves and turns very easily. No attachments, but that's not the purpose of this type of vacuum, is it?

Is there a charging meter on the charger
Sort of. There's a blue light that stays on until 100% charged. On the vacuum is a meter, 3 black bars, difficult for me to read.
