About 10.5 clearance from bottom of drawer to the top of the unit that pushes in. Anything taller than that will not fit standing upright. Definitely helps get machines off the ground and machines work without shaking on the pedestals. Just expensive for a base.

Lots of laundry fit. King comforter fits nicely. Large sleeping bags didn't quiet work although they did clean, but were off balanced several times. Unit is fairly large and takes up a lot of my laundry room, but no problem with the machine.
