At least it has a level

I recently found myself looking for a full size tripod after the loss of my previous tripod to use for my microprojector, and camcorder.
I can't believe how difficult it is to find a decent projector at a decent price anymore. After shopping in 3 different stores, I settled for this one. The higher priced sub-$100 ones I looked at either had unusual, hard to level heads, or had awkward neck extension methods, allowing a camera to simply drop as you loosen it. This one was one of the few I found that was unbroken from the box that had a level, removable mount, smooth raising and lowering neck, and smooth motion. I think it's ridiculous that anymore you have to pay over $100 for most standard tripods to havr what you want. In fact, many higher priced models I found by same manufacturers would lose beneficial features for very gimmicky features or options. So, this tripod works. It's nothing spectacular, but works.

Overall this tripod is as you'd expect. It works, it is solid, and supports the micro projector that I purchased it for. The only real issue that I have with it is that there is no level or "resting spot" to be sure the device being mounted is absolutely level. This becomes more noticeable when using it for a projector at a larger distance. The screen being unlevel is very visible. Otherwise it's a good solid product and id overall still recommend this to anyone looking to purchase.

This tripod is compatible with most cameras and camcorders for wide-ranging use.

Does this tripod have built in bubbles/levelers?

No, this tripod does not include any levelers and is the one issue I've had with it. Difficult to get Just right. I use mine for a microprojector that I have and can be difficult to get perfectly level.

what is the size of the tripod when it's fully collapsed? is it small enough to put in a backpack/suitcase

This tripod compresses very well at about 6 inches a d can easily fit into a backpack or laptop bag or anything else. Also comes woth a small drawstring bag to keep it in that you could clip externally if you prefer.
