Bought this as a replacement for a suction cup mount in my company van. Unfortunately, there is not a very good place for it to sit out of the sun. (Ford Transit van)
It stayed right where I put it, even on a very uneven surface.
Just couldn’t see the screen for the sun. Gave it to my son in law, and he loves it.

I'm looking for a Apple iphone 6S+ phone holder that I can use in my car. The item that I purchased at the Verizon store seems to be too small for the added cellphone case that I have attached into the vents. Is there another type of device?

Look into X-Grip phone mounts. There are two sizes available. I have a 6s Plus with Lifeproof Nuud case, so I got the larger size.
I love mine.
