Samsung Water Wall Dishwasher is Incredible!

We purchased this dishwasher after getting rid of a dishwasher I had for only 6 months. It was horrible, didn't clean well, didn't load well and left a white film on the dishes.
We took a look at Samsung's brand new technology using a water wall. It cleaned every dish I placed inside and I didn't pre-rinse the dishes at all. Something I've been used to doing over the years.
The programming of this dishwasher is so easy and it allows for areas in the dishwasher where you place heavier soiled dishes for that extra boost in cleaning. Also, my favorite part is I can load the dishes in the racks so easily. No fumbling around trying to make the dishes fit in hard places. The very top tray is something I really like. I can place large and odd shaped utensils along with my longer, sharper knives in this rack instead of trying to place them in a utensil basket; which can be frustrating. There is a utensil basket which is removable. The only thing I had hoped for was that this dishwasher came in other colors besides stainless. I have all white kitchen appliances and would have liked a white dishwasher.
The first load came out totally clean and absolutely no film on the dishes. The glasses sparkled and the silverware was shiny.
I am completely satisfied with this dishwasher and it's worth every penny we spent on it. I had never owned a Samsung appliance before and am so glad we took the leap and bought this outstanding dishwasher.

Very sturdy hoses

With the installation of our new washer/dryer set it was necessary to also install new hoses. These hoses are constructed in a way that was totally different to the hoses that were on our old washer. These hoses are very sturdy and do not kink up or 'jump' when a surge of water goes through them. I was very impressed with the sturdiness of these hoses.

Purchased for new dishwasher but it wasn't used

We purchased a new dishwasher and were told that we must have the installation power cord kit. When the dishwasher was delivered, the installer hardwired the dishwasher as the previous one had been. We did not need the installation kit and returned it. It is possible that it is needed for an installation but not if the installer hard wires the item.

With 3 wash levels, a 2-pump system and dedicated silverware jets, this GE GDF570SGFWW dishwasher provides thorough cleaning. Steam prewash helps eliminate the need for soaking or prerinsing.

Cleans great but the arrangement is not so great

My prior GE Profile dishwasher worked beautifully and was so easy to arrange the dishes for washing. This new replacement dishwasher has been a huge disappointment for me. First, it's smaller inside than I realized or maybe it's the arrangement that makes it feel smaller. The flatware/utensil holders are on the outside of the racks. There are slots to place the flatware and if your flatware is larger than the slots then you have to remove these devices. The guides for placing plates, bowls, etc. are bent out at a weird angle and the dishes don't stack easily but tend to lean in weird positions. I literally took the rack out and bent the prongs to an upright position so the dishes would stack easier. On my third use of this dishwasher I opened the door only to find that a large plastic spatula had somehow gotten out of the utensil holder and fallen down on top of the heating element. As you can guess, the handle melted to the heating element. I can't just remove this because the plastic melted completely around the element. Now I have to make a service call to have them take care of this issue. This is only the third time I've used the doggone thing and already an issue. I didn't do my research well enough before purchasing this model of dishwasher. GE dropped the ball on this one as far as I'm concerned.

LG Hit a Home Run With This Washer!

We purchased the LG washer/dryer combo. I had been looking at front loaders to replace my 20 year old set. The Best Buy sales associate told us about the top loader and how the technology of this washer, with no agitator, would clean better than our highest expectations. He also explained how efficient the top loader was and how this model was currently doing better than the front loaders. I did read the manual first to understand the huge instrument panel on this washer before trying it out. The machine is so easy to use and cleans beautifully. My first experience I literally stood there and watched the cycles. The top loader has a clear top to see the washing. Before actual washing happened the sensor detected how big the load was and then the drum turned to automatically arrange the load for balanced washing. It sounded like a jet revving up for take off. It wasn't loud, I just wasn't expecting that to happen. The clothing came out nice and clean and didn't take as long as I expected. A great purchase for our household.
