The Wi-Fi in my building has gotten so bad that I decided to get my own rounter. Today, after I briefly explained the situation to Best Buy staff & then getting her recommendation, I purchased Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router (Mod. WNDR3400v3). Back at home, I plugged the ethernet cable from the unit directly into wall jack. I then tried to run Genie on my devices, IPad & IPhone, but was unsuccessful. Now I see, evidently, this also requires a modem. If so, could I get a combo modem & router and thereby save money (after returning what I already purchased)? What product would you recommend? My apartment is less than 800 sq ft and I am only occupant. I'm not a gamer, but do like to stream Netflix.
