Best Kart Racing Game Ever

Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U was great, but Deluxe manages to be even better. It includes all of the DLC from the original game, and also fixes the one weak spot of the original - battle mode. The previous version had battles take place on regular circuits instead of arenas. Deluxe brings back arenas and adds a stellar new map based on the Splatoon video game. The portable nature of the Switch makes this a can't-miss game, great for playing with friends anytime, anywhere.

The most surprising thing about the game is how funny it can be. The gameplay is standard Lego game fare, but the open world gives it a fun twist. The characters really carry the game. I like the Switch version because I can play on the go.

The main game here is a remake of the 3DS Kingdom Hearts game, Dream Drop Distance. If one is familiar with the series, this is the closest thing to a "Final Mix" of that game that there is. The really interesting piece of content is "A Fragmentary Passage," which is all new content produced for next gen consoles, and serves as a preview to Kingdom Hearts 3. Compared to 1.5+2.5, the value here isn't as good, but the new content might make up for it to fans of the series.

If you haven't played the Kingdom Hearts games on PS2 or PS3, this is the collection to get. It contains all of the best games and the story cutscenes for the games it doesn't include. While the game was definitely upgraded from its original form, it won't be mistaken for a current title. The value of having this many games is incredible.
