First, let talk about why I started using LIFX. I have invested hundreds of dollars into Hue light bulbs. However, my gripe with Hue is that every time you use a switch and turn a light back on it resets to a default warm color. Something I do not like. I wish I could set a default color differently. Secondly their lights don't offer as many lumens as I want for certain situations.
In came LIFX. Every time I flip the switch and back on the last color I used comes back on. That's a plus, at least for me. It's nice in entertainment rooms if you want to flip a switch rather than use an app. I also wanted more light in son's nursery, and LIFX offers 1100 lumens, verses 800 from Hue. So you are getting 75 watt equivalent rather than a 60 watt. That is really noticeable to me.
The only knock I have from LIFX is their app needs a lot of improvement. I thought Hue's wasn't great, but then I used LIFX and realized they are miles behind in that department. I'm sure in the future it will get better though. In any event, I love the lightbulb. In my son's nursery I use it so I can turn down the light and use a shad of blue, or any color for that matter to get him to sleep.

The drone is easy to fly when it works. GRUNT GRUNT.....mine stopped working. When it did though, having back up propellors is a must. You won't know when you will need a back up, so just have them in case. Especially when these things break like a twig.

The battery works great. I wish the drone did! Definitely buy an extra battery for extra flight time. I would never go with a third party battery in a drone. For a thousand dollar piece of equipment flying in the sky I wouldn't trust anything but the original. Then again I don't know of any 3rd party battery for the drone, but I'm sure there will be one day.

I do love this camera. I especially love the screen on it. It has changed the way I use it, but it assures me I will get the angle I want. The battery life is great for what I do. I bought extra batteries just in case, but never have I had to use them.

The idea of this drone is great from GoPro. The follow through is lacking. Let me be clear, it is really easy to fly the Karma for the most part. That's not the problem. The problem is there are no sensors which will most likely lead to a crash. For multiple reasons.
While hovering, the drone can move 10 feet in any direction. That's a big no no, especially if trying to land manually. Additionally, another reason I say this is now that they fixed the battery issue another problem is creeping up. The stabilizer are beginning to malfunction. Mine stopped working luckily before flight. If it stops working while in flight, the drone may crash while returning to the operator. The drone need the stabalizer's operating to fly. I've seen hundreds of people with the same problem. The general response from GoPro is to reset firmware. That does not fix this issue as it is a hardware issue.
I went on a photo shoot where I needed to use a drone. I thought I would try the Karma out. Before I even got to use it the stabilizer went out. I tried to get it replaced. However since I was in Hawaii, no one carried parts. GoPro was unwilling to send us a replacement park until I sent the other back. However, with travel time etc, I was unable to get a replacement in time. I'm a full-time photographer. If my equipment doesn't work, I can't produce a proper product. I've been a customer of GoPro since year one. Their customer service has gone down the toilet. They have forgotten what got them to lead a new industry. Hopefully they fix these issues and they will have a decent product.
They do also need to figure out a follow mode. It would be easy to add. However, I believe they don't put it on this model because the drone would not be able distance itself from objects. Hopefully in the next model this will be a must.
Also, another problem was the screen on my controller went to 2%. I thought it had turned off. If in a bright area you can't see your screen, it will likely lead to a crash. I never touched the settings to change the brightness, so there is some kind of bug in it. Luckily I was still able to fly it back without the use of the screen.
Anyway, at this time I would not recommend this product in its form.
