Spaceballs is perhaps the best Sci-fi spoof of all time. With nods at Star Wars, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, it really spoofs nearly every big Sci-fi movie ever, dating pre 1987 ("...they've gone to plaid!"). Mel Brooks plays the "Star Wars Yoda" who is the guardian of the Schwartz and is also heavily into Spaceballs Merchandising, Rick Moranis, is the "Darth Vader" spoof, Dark Helmet, and Bill Pullman is the Lonestar, the "Hero", with his trusted side kick, Chewbacca spoof, Barf (John Candy). Although I have heard it called unfunny and lame by others, I think it is a very funny movie and deserves to be watched not only by Sci-fi fans, but by anybody looking for a good laugh.

I like this film very much, especially the historical fictions; the depiction of the struggle between Christianity & Islam that continues to this very day. Orlando Bloom's best performance, along with the supporting cast of characters; I love Eva Green, she is intriguingly beautiful. The focus of the Middle Ages is a grim reminder of how brutal it was to survive & thrive while living a hard life. I'm not a movie critic or a historian but I recognize a well-written story & a movie that was brilliantly directed. What does not watching this movie mean?...nothing...everything! Watch & maybe just maybe you'll understand.

Within the obvious constrictions of a modest budget, and a "C" list cast, more like a 2.5 star so I'm rounding down to two stars. The movie suffers from the now worn out horror film device of having "professionals" do very dumb things so they can land in bad situations, so they then compound that by more very questionable decision making, leading to the final confrontation with what`s under the Pyramid and hunting them. Good setting, subpar visuals, just ok acting, good thing I got this on special.

Based on Cheryl Strayed’s real life experience, this movie is full of beautifully shot scenes throughout the Pacific Northwest – absolutely gorgeous. This is an epic hike of over 1,000 miles, but more than that, it is a soulful journey of discovery, healing and the inherent transformation of this woman as she discovers who she is. The many flashbacks throughout introduce us to her life - her ex, her mother, etc., and give us the very clear and understandable "why" of the story.
Reese Witherspoon is amazing as the heroine in this, and it is easy to forget she is acting. While she is still not my favorite actor, she has definitely jumped up the list, she has shown some great talent in this movie. There are a few cringe-worthy points in the movie, as well as some comically appropriate points, which all flow together naturally and never give the impression of staged or forced.
I loved this movie, and I think almost everyone can identify and relate to this journey, even if only recognizing the desire to do something similar at some point.

If you liked the original Mad Max movies, you will find Fury Road an excellent addition to the series. It was nonstop action from start to finish. The story line was solid (the world after a nuclear holocaust) and not complicated. Charlize Theron was excellent as Furiosa and this really was her movie. Tom Hardy was almost secondary as Max, but he too did well with his role, even thought you could probably count all of is lines on maybe two hands.
A Super-Secret Organization recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program just as a dire global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. A phenomenal cast, including Academy Award Winners Colin Firth and Michael Caine and Oscar Nominee Samuel L. Jackson, leads this action-packed spy-thriller directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men First Class).

This movie was fantastic, Not your normal spy movie and not your typical action thriller. If you would love too see James Bond in a Kill Bill setting, then this is the movie for you. Action packed, good story line, great acting. Disclaimer: Would not recommend that young children see this movie, lots of violence and cursing.

The movie was much more violent than I expected it to be for an animated Justice League movie, showing an open heart, some blood, and plenty of people dying. I wish there had been some more development on how the Batman came to be the way he was and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't really any investigation into the Joker besides a close-up of some Joker cards with laughter in the background. The whole idea of Amazon and Atlantis being at war with each other was pretty interesting, too.

I kind of figured that even for Will Smith being the primary and really only human character. It might be hard for him to take on but that wasn't the case at all with I Am Legend. While the creatures that he encounters aren't especially frightening (will not after the first couple times at least). It still manages to create a tension and excitement throughout the movie. He has a German Shepherd that his only real source of compassion and family as something terrible is revealed later on in the movie. While not overly long, I Am Legend managed to keep me interested and watching. Primarily because of Smith's character and the struggles he goes through with being the only person alive in the city. The movie holds up throughout and while not as fast paced as the first hour, I enjoyed the rest of the movie and an ending that leaves all kinds of possibilities for the future.

From the moment this movie opens till the very last frame I defy anyone to take their eyes off the screen even for a moment! Memoirs of a Geisha is truly an extraordinary feast for the eyes. Beautiful luscious scenery, gorgeous women, and an alluring story make for an evening of escapism that has become all to rare these days. I found myself deeply involved with this film. You will swear that you can smell the cherry blossoms right through your TV set. Get it today without hesitation!

I'm not giving this five stars because it had too many things going on; but by far, better than the other version of Spiderman. Too many new people to introduce and follow, so it became a bit of a mess. I do love the moments between Peter and Gwen (I love Emma Stone) but this is a Spiderman film... I wanted to see more Spiderman moments with the villains. I also would have rather them introduce the Sinister Six towards the end or in future films not just put them all into one film. It was nice to see Electro and Green Goblin and Rhino but I just wish they handled the villains better... if they did this this could have been a great Marvel film.
