How to connect DVD to TV or DVR
How do I connect my DVD to my HDTV or my DVR , wheb there are not enough port in the back of my TV , do I need to buy any special gadget?
You need a TV Signal Splitter switch. I have one that lets me choose one of 4 sources to feed to my DVR (which hooks into the TV). If your DVD has HDMI output, and your cable hook-up(?) also uses HDMI to connect to your DVR or TV, you need to find a switch with HDMI input and output. Some switches are for coax only, some are for the RCA Video input (3 cables each hook-up - red, yellow, & white in my experience). There are some that are for multiple types of inputs.

Looking for TV recorder/player combined with DVD player for exercise recordings
I have a Philips DVR/DVD Recorder. I can record TV off air, or cable, to the DVR (with 160GB hard drive), and I can burn DVDs of about 4-5 hours of stuff per DVD on the built-in DVD player/recorder. I currently have about 150 shows recorded still on the DVR (I record one channel from 8 PM to 11:30PM, every day [on Sunday - I start at 7PM] - I can edit the night into the individual shows, and delete what I don't want, or have already watched) - going back about 2 years. I don't have the model number handy, since I've had this for several years.
