Great prelude to the big matchup

This is a great introduction of Kong into the kaiju universe inhabited by Godzilla. Much like 2014 Godzilla, Kong gets a past history (this time in the 1970s during the Vietnam War) and a future goal (which comes in the end credits, keep watching!). Lots of action and plenty of laughs too. Best King Kong since the 1930s original. Don't miss it.

Strange Kaiju film but it works, mostly

You'd naturally equate teens in trouble to films like Nightmare on Elm Street, but Cloverfield is the only film to mix teenagers and giant monsters since The Giant Gila Monster back in the 1950s. The cinema verite style works here, and catch an early performance by Lizzy Caplan before she was on Showtime..

This amazing movie about the making of Psycho is revealing--about Hitchcock, his quirks and kinks, and the nature of Hollywood. You will learn a lot. For instance, poor Hitch had to finance this film himself, but the studio's loss was his gain, as PSYCHO was a hit and all the profit when to him. Not so happy was the rocky relationship Hitch had with his wife Alma, and the women he made films with.

A Must See Classic

Psycho still shocks after fifty years. The performances, the cinematography, are all superb--especially considering it was all a television crew and the sets were TV sets. Hitchcock cemented his reputation and his career, but cooked his chances of an Oscar forever. Hollywood has still not given a horror film an Oscar and never will.

What looked like another Twin Peaks knockoff (Picket Fences) is much more. In fact this show really went over the top. No spoilers here, but it is a powerful mystery that bends time and the characters perceptions, yet it all makes perfect sense once the secret is revealed. Can't wait to see what they do if and when the show comes back for another creepy season.
