Poor Design

I purchased this for my new Jeep, it last about 3 weeks. The problem is in the design of the clamping, being made out of plastic the gearing became lose so it would not operate and I could not repair. The suction cup and arm are a great design and works well. What I did was to go out and purchase a product called 'Steelie" I then modified the part that holds the bracket from this product so I could attach the 'Steelie' it works great now but I have about $60.00 into this. I design products for my industry so I'm a little picking, I want things to work without problems.
