Works as tax software should. When I had an issue with dependents during filing, it gave the information that was passed back from the IRS, and **it allowed for the return to be filed "with exception"** This means even though there was a problem where I knew the IRS would need to contact me, it includes the option to file so that the IRS will call me about the return so that I can explain the dependent problem (someone else incorrectly claiming my dependent). I have never seen this on other tax software.

Great price, quiet audio

Pros:
Price of only $149 for a 1080p TV.
Digital pickup of signals is great (equals or exceeds all other digital TV receivers I have used)
USB port helps for powering Fire TV stick
HDMI, VGA and all other ports have plenty of clearance and the direction they lead from the TV is flush toward the side or bottom rather than needing to stick out the back.
Nice having 3 HDMI input, VGA input, and other video inputs. I thought it odd that the composite video input does double duty as one of the YCbCr jacks.
Cons:
Audio is low. Once you turn it up about 1/3 of the way, it doesn't get any louder. Although it has a 1/8" headphone output, the TV speakers are muted when anything is plugged into the headphone output (so you can't just run this to a supplement speaker and use both internal and external speakers this way). This headphone jack is not in a convenient place to plug in and unplug headphones. It is next to all of the other jacks in the back of the TV. I plan to run the Digital output to a stereo system. As of this review I have not tested if the volume control on the TV changes the digital output audio level (I may need to use my stereo's remote to change volume). There are no other audio "out" other than 1/8" jack and the TOSLINK jack.

Sometimes the FireTV input changes to 720p when I switch to it (and it powers up). I have not determined if there is a place I can lock this to 1080p, but by forcing the TV to 1080p manually, the stick changes to the proper resolution.

I don't like the new plunger/wrench combination. It seems food sticks to this tool worse than the old wooden plunger. I bought this to replace one I already had; the housing had cracked from too much pasta dough processing through it. For a while I used a large hose clamp to keep the crack from spreading, but eventually it became too much of a hassle to keep the clamp clean. So, other than it being plastic, and the change of the plunger, I use this A LOT, and it fares pretty well. Certainly not as good as a metal one, but it works for my needs at a reasonable price.

I have used Lasco box fans for wuite some time now to cool our chicken houses. They are the same size and similar price. I was surprised that the layout of this fan was different. Normally the speed control is on the top of the fan and the cord comes out near the bottom of the fan. For this fan, the speed control is in the center on the back (near the motor) and the cord comes out here, too. The cord is also detachable, using what looks to be a relatively standard oval shape (you may be able to replace it with the one you had on your old razor or cassette player). Thinking about the layout, it makes sense, because they use less internal wiring this way. The fan seems to be thinner than what I have used in the past, which means putting it away will take slightly less space. In the configuration for which I use it, the control on the back of the fan makes it easier to mount it in a window in the chicken coop, without the control getting in the way. If you are putting it in a normal window, you no longer have to worry about the window coming down onto the control since it is on the back, but you also will need to take it out of the window to shut it off (assuming you are blowing air in).

It has its niche

The good:
For the price it has a fast CPU, Nice display and a good amount of memory for a touchscreen device.
The not so good:
Without a DVD/CD port, you have to run (or install) such things from an ISO image, networked drive or downloaded replacement. Have a plan on how you are going to install the software that you want to use on it.
The 802.11ac card intermittently failed to be backward compatible with a 802.11n network (which according to the standard it should have no problem). Swapping out the internal wireless unit with one from an older model (and installing the related drivers) made it work with my network until I upgrade the router to "ac". Until "ac" becomes the more used wireless type, or they improve the wireless unit, you shouldn't count on this connecting *reliably* at the coffee shop.

would i be able to look at my local stations in cleveland ohio
A Fire stick is not a television receiver. It gets content from the internet from various sources. If your local stations broadcast content on the internet, you would be able to get the content through this stick (and with some broadcasters, this may involve paying them so that you can get the content over the internet). Since the stick is actually running software to do this, there are a lot of options to install additional software to get the content that you want.

Does this TV have RCA-jack audio outputs?
No. Only a 1/8" headphone jack and digital optical output (TOSLINK). If you plug into the headphone jack, the internal speakers are muted.

Could you help me find a new blade for my grinder?
I would like to replace the blade on my grinder since mine is about 30 years old and I imagine your new one would be a lot sharper - I don't need the entire grinder, just the 4-pronged blade which should fit all your grinders.
These questions mainly go to other users, not Best Buy or OEM. I can tell you that these can be sharpened at a knife/scissor sharpening store. Since this may be rare in your area (depending upon where you live), you may also find a farmer or metalworker that is used to working with tempered knives. They may be able to add life to your blade. Other than doing that, you might have to purchase the whole unit. I know the plastic gets brittle as it ages (mine cracked), so it may not be a bad idea to change the housing as well.

Real Hardwood Food Stomper
Some of these are FGA packages say they include a Hardwood Food Stomper, yet they are really coming with a plastic wrench with a stomper molded into the handle which is not ideal. Does this one have the Hardwood stomper?
My new one came with a plastic plunger/wrench combination. Luckily I have my old one that I can use.
