I received this item as a present. It would make a good charger with all of the USB ports, etc. But it's suppose to hold a phone or tablet while your in the kitchen or any other outlet. At my house, I have cabinets above all my outlets, so I can't use a tablet or phone to watch (listen) a show. All of my other outlets are at ground level...
