This movie is in my top ten favorite movie list. Why? First the film's cast which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, and Joseph Gordob-Levitt. Gave great performance and have good chemistry together. What truly made this film great ,IMO, are the CGI, Music, and the ending.
The CGI and sets look visually stunning.
To building design to the state of Limbo.
All help to envision the world Nolan try to build.
The score by Hans Zimmer is superb. When a chase is happening the music that acompany with it has your heart racing. Or when a emotional scene is playing, the music makes your heart heavy.
Finally a ending that divided people. Whether it was a dream or not, it had us talking about the film long after it finished. Making us want to take a second viewing. (Possibly more)

A Great Movie Period

I don't need tell you that The Dark Knight is not just a great superhero movie. But a great movie period. From the acting to the action is top notch. Especially the performance of the late Heath Ledger as the Joker. With Christopher Nolan direction we have a modern day masterpiece.
