This machine gets my close clean and I have not had a single issue with it. The built in sink is great for soaking and provides the needed textures to really scrub the tough stains. The time delay feature is great for allowing me to have laundry done when I get home but not sit wet all day. Grass stains that my traditional washer got out with no issue, but early-gen high efficiency front loaders could not.

Is there a " spin only" setting & a " rinse & spin" setting. Is it possible to select a spin seed in the " spin only" or " rinse & spin" settings
I don't have this exact model, but in mine there is that option to change spin setting on all wash cycles.

How many minutes do the cycles run?
I've seen anywhere from 55ish to 1:12ish depending on the settings. I think there is a quick wash cycle at 34, but it's not the same as the added quick wash cycle on a higher end machine.

Is there a hand wash cycle?
Don't see a hand wash cycle on the controls or in the manual, but under the specifications "hadn washable" cycle is marked as Yes. How is that possible?
They bundle that with the same as the delicate cycle and the manual says to use this cycle for hand wash only items.

can you take the active wash sink out, or is it permanently installed
It is permanently installed. There may be a way, but it's not an easy uninstall reinstall.
