Where do I even begin? I was going to get the Switch anyway, as we have loved all of the Nintendo consoles, but we did not have internet when it first came out. We got internet within the first few months of the Switch coming out, but we thought about practicality. Obviously, the Switch only had a few titles at the time, one of which we already had on the Wii U (since we didn't have the Switch). The PS4 offered Netflix, Hulu, games/ more title options, etc., so we got it. We only had it for a couple of months before the Switch started dropping titles and announcing awesome future projects. I didn't want one, I NEEDED one, but they were all sold out for the longest time. I was sad, and I wanted a portable game. I started looking at the DS, but the more I looked into the Switch, the more I knew that that was the gaming system I was going with. I called around, waited... Within the next month or two, a Best Buy in my town had the Switches back in stock, and you could buy just the Switch and not be forced to buy those packages that places like GameStop forced you to get. I was so excited! I went and picked it up, with a screen protector and memory card (get one if you plan on buying a lot of the fun, cheap little games on the eShop!). Upon first glance, I was a little shocked by the size of the screen. It was a little smaller than I anticipated, but once I clicked it all together, it was the perfect size. Set up took about an hour and does require an internet connection. I brought it home and my boyfriend set it all up with the TV. This little console IS THE BEE'S KNEES. I can pause a game mid game, pop it out of the dock, and take it with me in the car and play on the way to restaurants or what have you. We can play ANYWHERE. It has great battery life as well! I can play large games like Odyssey for at least a couple of hours and it's still going! I can put my Switch on the dock mid game and BOOM, it's instanly projected on my TV. The screen resolution is WONDERFUL, far beyond that of the DS. It projects beautifully to the TV and doesn't skip a beat. The interface of this console is very simple and easy to figure out. There's an interactive guide to help you, and a news center that alerts you of new games or DLC. The shop can be kind of awkward to figure out initially, but once you mess with it a little, you can find any game you're looking for. The Switch also just got Hulu, which is great! (I watch a lot of Hulu, obviously lol.) I feel like a kid again. I am even buying titles I already have on PS4 for the Switch because I love the portability of it. It's a fantastic console and I am beyond blown away! Only thing I wish is that they would bring Yoshi's Wooly World to the Switch... Other than that, 10/10! Definitely looking forward to the incoming titles like Dark Souls, Yoshi, Pikmin, etc. which are due to come out in the next year or so! SO WORTH IT! DO YOURSELF AND YOUR INNER CHILD A FAVOR AND WOW YOURSELF WITH THIS FUN, LITTLE CONSOLE!

Good, Cheap Protector

This was the only accessory I purchased when I picked up my Switch (I ordered other accessories online because they were sold out in the store). Please listen when I say that this protector is worth it, especially for $8! The Switch costs you $300, so why not protect it? The screen is NOT scratch proof! You need a screen protector! This was the cheapest option at the time (I have had issues with ZAGG products in the past and did not want to drop ~$40 on a screen protector) and IT WORKS! I was a little frustrated with putting it on, as I was very particular about removing every partical on the surface of the screen, but the protector some how got a spec of something on it during installation (I think it had something to do with static electricity that caused something to cling to the protector). I was disappointed to see a small bubble, but you can't see it at all when the screen is on. It can be a little frustrating, but be patient! It will come out if you take your time! Plus, worse comes to worse, a new one is only $8. I don't have any scaratches on my Switch, thanks to this little protector.

I am an adult who plays this game, with younger brother that play this game. When I first saw the trailers for this game, I felt a little indifferent. I loved N64's Super Mario 64, GameCube's Super Mario Sunshine, and Wii's Super Mario Galaxy (my favorite). I was let down by Super Mario Galaxy 2. I thought they were trying too hard to make it like the original Galaxy. My boyfriend was very excited about the game, so I pre-ordered it. I picked it up the day it came out and we immediately started playing. My first thoughts were WOW. The music, the graphics, the controls, everything. It was new and fresh and unlike any other Mario game, while maintaining the same wonderful colors, art, familiar movements, loveable characters, etc. of the other Mario games. It takes what you know and love and grows from it. It's a brand new adventure! Definitely up there with my favorites! We enjoy it, just as my younger brothers (5-8 age range) enjoy it on their Switch. The ability to take such a fantastic game on the go also blows me away. Seriously, if you are contemplating getting this game, DO IT!

My brother in law loves games and has a PlayStation 4, but we don't keep up much. This was an easy gift for him. Most games online are $40-60, but you can also get movies, shows, DLC (downloadable content), etc. I almost got him a game I knew he would like, but as I figured, he had purchased the game for himself already. He really appreciated this gift. It's not so unpersonal like other gift cards, it's fairly specific to the avid PlayStation gamer/user in your life.
