Once again, Buena Vista has chosen to release a movie-only disc with no bonus material. In the case of Tombstone, the lack of extras is made even more incomprehensible in light of the fact that the laserdisc release of the film featured deleted scenes with director commentary, all of which added depth to the film. With a director's cut that was three hours in length, the decision to leave that footage on the cutting room floor is frustrating. Fans of the film will want to at least rent Tombstone on DVD, however, as the non-anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen transfer thankfully negates the pan-and-scan of the original tape and restores the film's epic Western feel. The picture and sound quality are even a notch above the Buena Vista releases of the time, and the picture would be even better if not for a little too much shimmering from edge enhancement at times. Regardless of the disc's shortcomings, the shootout at the O.K. Corral is a perfect showroom sequence for the benefits of DVD. While rumors of a special edition remain unconfirmed, hopefully Buena Vista will do the film justice in the future.

Frank Darabont's critically acclaimed, quietly popular 1994 debut The Shawshank Redemption comes to DVD in a simple presentation that features a widescreen, anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio, a stills gallery, and the theatrical trailer. With an understated, well-crafted film like this one, the focus should be on the finished work, but a Darabont commentary, filmography, "making of" featurette, and other extra features would make a nice counterpart to the film's restraint. Hopefully, Warner Home Video will see fit to release a deluxe version of The Shawshank Redemption that gives the film the treatment it deserves.

I really like individual ink tanks. I feel like I'm not wasting money by throwing away the multi color ink cartridge when only one color is gone. However, I had much trouble getting this to work wirelessly with my new Windows 10 Asus Desktop. I finally did, but am still trying to get my Windows 7 Asus Laptop to recognize that the Printer is wirelessly connected to my router. The desktop sees it, but the laptop keeps telling me that the printer is offline. Bummer. I would recommend this to a friend IF they have Windows 10; even tho it's supposed to work with Windows 7 through 10.
Enjoy your work more with this Asus desktop computer. My household is on it's 4th Asus Computer. 2 laptops and this is 2nd Desktop. I don't think I'll ever buy another HP or Dell because this brand seems to outlast them by more than double the years. This new desktop seemed to take forever to update while first setting up, but I believe it has more to do with Windows 10 than being an ASUS. That's about the only aggravation I've had with it thus far. It moves quickly and since setting up I've not yet had any problems.
