I was tired of the Garmin falling into my lap from the front window when I was told there was this alternative. It works very well, mounts the Garmin lower than the window allows, and does not move whole driving! It fits well in my Wife's '09 Sebring but would not have a good place to work in my '95 T-Bird. The difference is not the device but the design of the dash board. If you have a long, relatively flat dash this product will serve you well!

What's great about it: Easy to use and it does not fall off of the window while driving!
What's not so great: Might be hard to use on many dashes due to design styles.
Use this removal tool to easily remove a factory DIN-style radio from the dash kit of your vehicle. The chrome-plated spring steel construction provides durability.

I did not think these were necessary!!! However, after reading about removing a Ford Radio from the '90s I decided to purchase this - I am glad I did! The best part is I still have them if I ever need to remove the HVAC control, or a radio from another Ford. Recommend highly!

Easy to use, perfect match wire-to-wire by color. Connectors fit perfectly to Factory Ford connectors once the wires were spliced to those coming out of the new radio. Simple - match color to color, cut off those not necessary (after testing), plug it in and enjoy!

According to the product labeling I needed this adapter to mount a Panasonic Radio in my '95 T-Bird; I did not. I was able to return it with not problems.
If you want to know whether your vehicle will need this I recommend removing your factory radio first. If your antenna connector wire is a "female" type this will be necessary. If it is "male" going into the radio it is not needed.
This installation dash kit features a bracket system that allows recessed or flush mounting of most aftermarket DIN radios in select Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.

I purchased this kit due to the recommendation on the product package as being necessary for a 1995 Ford Thunderbird. It is not needed for the Panasonic Radio I purchased. I am just glad I did not follow the instructions and cut off the tabs as directed; I would not have been able to return it. (Please ignore the 1 star - I had to enter something for this to print. I would have clicked N/A is possible.)
I would imagine that this would not be needed for any '95 Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury.
