Arlo Is Security In My Book

Normally, I wouldn't bring up a different produc when I'm writing a review, but I just reviewed a newer Gen camera before this one. Both of these are 2K resolution, and the crazy thing is, I firmly believe that they are both very simular in terms of visuals. Set-up is just as simple, as well.This unit does have the docking bracket, unlike the newer one. But I also found that it was a very painless experience as far as installation goes. Just as you should with every security camera. Be sure to fully charge your camera before the initial set-up. And unlike the newer models, the Essential model will not have a steady blue light when the camera's battery is at 100%. So, I recommend checkingin on it after a couple of hours on the charger. Speaking of chargers, I do love that Arlo is using type C ports now. It just makes everything feel more uniform. The options to turn the night vision to black n white when the flood light isn't active does help to keep that already long battery, running that much longer. And the fact that you'll no longer need a HUB to use these cameras, just makes me want to outfit my whole place with these things. There are optional service plans that will allow things to run more streamlined, but it isn't absolutely needed to get great use out of them. I can't recommend this and any other Arlo device, enough. Go get this camera.

Just What You Asked For. Nothing More

For what you're asking for, here. you're not going to be disappointed. The Insignia 4 port/ 47-watt charger is a neat little accessory to go in your computer space or your bedside coffee table to charge your smart devices, RGB lights, or maybe even your personal massage devices. I even use it to charge my coffee warmer. (See what I mean about the coffee table thing?) It comes with its own power source, in the form of a standard power cord. Pretty much, the same kind you'd use or get from your video game console. I'm not saying that you'll need it, but just in case you find yourself in need of a spare cord, it shouldn't be too difficult to find one around the room. As you can see, it comes with three USB-B ports and only one USB-C port. This could be a problem if you've got more Type-C devices that are in need of charging in this area. As I said before, you're getting the basics here, but if this is what you're looking for, you're getting a very good device. I just have to stress that if you need more Type-C ports, this isn't your device. Simple to get up and running, as it comes with the charger, power cord, and the stand for stabilization. I like it a lot. But I would've liked the option of having 2 C and 2 A ports. I'm sure there's an option out there for that, though. So, yes. This is a great charger for your desk. It's an easy buy.

Great Starter Dash Cam

I'm so loving how simple this dash camera is. It literally is "Plug n Play" right outta the box. The only real deal is basically the same as everything that has anything to do with the internet. And that, my friend, is the need to download and install the accompanying app to your smart phone. After you do that, you'll on the road. Of course, you'll first have to apply the double-sided tape onto the base and affix it to a clean surface on the interior of your windshield of choice. Impersonally, use it for my work truck, since it's so easy to grab and go. But mind you, once it's affixed to your windshield, you'll have a time getting it off. That being said, just make sure that you choose the optimal area for your camera. It comes with a 64GB micro-SD card (That's awfully kind of them.) so you can start building your traffic log. The charging cable is plenty long enough to install in a large box truck windshield and still have space to feed through interior and reach the charging port. I love that. However, if you want to hardwire this little guy into your vehicle and have it on aware mode, you'll need to buy that kit separately. That's my only real qualm with this on. The price point makes it worth looking over that issue. I think with the holidays coming up, this would be a great for you're young drivers. You may want to buy them that car first. though.

Arlo Pro: All Great, No HUB

Arlo is quite possibly my favorite security camera system. Not because of the obvious reason, the peace of mind given from the network of security that come with the plans that they provide. Mind you, that'sa great featureand they are top-notch. Not because of the live two-way communication that is pretty much standard on most, if not all home security cameras of the odern era. Though, that too, is a great feature. No. Arlo has my vote because of the longevity of their batteries. Those cameras can sometime, go for almost two months before I have to recharge them. And it takes them no-time to recharge.( Not actually No Time. It is just much more quicky than otherwireless cameras that I'm using or have used in the past.) The build quality on their camera casing, must be built for combat, because it can take a few falls and still come up nearly unscathed, plus, they can stand up all of the elements( Rain, sleet, or snow, Arlo's on the go. This is the first Arlo cam that I've used that don't require a HUB, so I was really excited to get my hands on it. If you know anything about my reviews, you'll know that I like easy. This camera is so easy to get set-up and running I almost felt like it did everything itself. The box has everything you need to get started and out the door, except the drill( Get yourself a drill, if you don't have one. It makes life so much easier.). That being said. Before doing anything, make sure that you install the app and follow the instructions. More importantly, you'll need to fullyy charge the camera's battery before even getting it connected. The instructions will not tell you that the blue light will go out while the battery is charging. Don't worry. That's normal. When it is fully charged, the blue light will ignite, prompting you to continue your set-up. While it's charging, you can take that time to figure out where you truly want this thing to go. The instructions willalso say that there is a round mounting disk in the package. This didn't comein my box, and it isn't at all, necessary. Just drill in the base, then oyu'r all set. Once you're battery is charged and you're connected to wifi,you'll get you'r feed and be able to properly place your new Arlo Pro right where you'd like it. Now, after all of that you may have noticed that I only gave ita 4 star rating, and not a 5. Well,it's simple. there's a 5 second delay in the feed when you're using the non-paid service. And those 5 seconds can be very vital, when your Doo-Dash is on the doorsteps, or when the neighbor's dog is coming to defacate your begonias, or worse. Remember that when you're using the mic to talk to poeple. Other than those minor issues, this is another all-star camera system from Arlo. And, they're affordable. It's hard to say no to that.

Great Google Addition

I really like the Google ecosystem and all of ways that it intergrates all of my Android, Chrome, and general Gemini products into my daily routine. The Google smart home and smart things apps help my keep everything in a neat and manageable package. That being said, I love how my security cameras are a part of that interface. The Google Nest Cam 3rd Gen is great and easy to set up with my smart home( Home) app. Just make sure that you've got your wifi on your phone during the set-up process and you'll up and running in no time at all. If you've got a Nest Hub, this makes eveything feel like it comes together in your own command center.The camera comes ready to go with a very long power cord and something I never quite expected( sadly), a power brick. The thing is, they didn't need to package it in the box since there's a type C plug at the end, which could pretty much find a female port almost anywhere in the house. But it's there.YAY! There's also tools for wall mounting, if you'd like. Ichose to just post mine upright. Follow the instructions and save that QR code sticker, fr later on. You never know when you'll need it again. And believe me, you will. It works great. And that's more than acceptable. It's a great way to keep an eye on your office tech when you're on the go.

Affordable And Comfortable

I'm no stranger to Turtle Beach or their headphones. I've been using those headphones for what seems like a steady lifetime. And over the years they've been hit or miss, yet it has been on a consistent basis. However, over the past couple of years, I've found myself quite satisfied with what they've been bringing to the gamer'sphere. Especially with their wireless gear. And as for the wired gear, these Atlas 200 headphones are good. I won't beat around the bush there. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even for glasses wearers, like myself. This is a huge plus, considering many of my gaming friends and family are eye glasses wearers, as well. The light-weight material doesn't really come off as cheap looking, but they don't compare to the wireless counterparts. The sound quality is pretty good, I would prefer if they were just a little louder for those times when I'm in a "I need to hear the footsteps" situations. But for the single player, "let's keep it down, people are sleeping" moments, these come through in a pinch. The 50mm drivers with soft memory-foam cups feel so cozy on my ears. The only draw-back is when it's hot in the room. Expect sweat. When it comes to the headband. There's a mesh coveing over the top and the floating headbands. That helps to keep my sweaty cranium from getting the top all stank. The folding mute feature is still alive and well, and the boom mic is bendible to get the right angle to face ratio. The mic sound is serviceable, so it does its job. My only real complaint is the length of the cord. While this is a really good length for console gamers who plug their head gear into the controller or even the Switch system, this is a total fail for desktop PC gamers. Laptop gamers should have no problems at all, here. That's why I have to give these such a high score. They simply do their job. And their not bad to look at on the skull either. Not to mention, how affordable they are. Pick 'em up.

The Best Brother I Know

This is possibly the easiest time that I've had setting up a Brother printer in a long time. That being said, I want to say that this is also the easiest Brother machine that i've evr had the chance to use.Brother isn't a bad company, by any means. I've just had more complications on the initial start-up than now, in the past. I'm very pleased with that. The Box holds the MFC-J4355DW Inkjet and 4 ink cartridges. You also get a your usual warranty and product care paperwork( among other papers, of course), but those really aren't necessary, as the QR code will allow you to set up your printer with relative ease. It took me about 15 minutes, including installing updates, ink and paper loading. Don't forget to take off all of the tape. There isn't that may pieces this go 'round, so it shouldn't be much of a hindrance. The papaer tray is located in the front, as usual, but there's also a slot in the back for feeding those Fax'ables( My own word. Patient pending.) If you are fortunate enough to still own a LAN line, like myself, you can be privied to the fll use of said Fax feature. Also, there's a scan bay up top. This is a great all-around printer for small business and rafts alike. Plus, the ink really isn't that expensive when it comes to Brother printers, so i'm sure this won't change that much. I don't give 5 stars ot easily, but this one truly deserves it's flowers. I love this printer, so far.

My Most Must Have Accessory

Let's face it. Everyone has done it. We"ve saved up and held off to take our income tax money or wait for that Black friday sale to come through, just so we can get our hands on the perfect TV. And as much as the price is a God-sent, we need the one thing that we never have enough of. Extra HDMI ports. And while we can find one just a couple isles over, you don't think about until it's far too late. Enter Insignia's 3-Port HDMI switch with remote, mind you. Now that's got to be the bonus you've been waiting for. I get to keep it in my master bedroom when my son is in my gaming room(We all know how men and kids can be with small electronics...Yes. I'm a man. that's how I know.). When he needs to switch from the "Switch" to PS5, or Xbox Series(PC has it's own life.), I just step to doorway and flick the switch. Before you ask, yes. You can manuelly switch HDMIs with the select button, but who really sits that close to their consoles like that anymore? The package comes with the box , the aforementioned remote, and a 6 ft' type C to A power cable. And it comes with its own power brick. I'm so happy about that little, yet lovely feature. It capable of 4K resolution @ 60HZ, so that should be more than good enough to enjoy your game time or even movie nights. As the first thing I did was connect this thing to my Projector. It looks gorgeous. Go ahead and put a couple of these things in your cart. As a gift or just simply future proofing your entertainment system, you'll thank yourself as soon as you do. It's Insignia, so you know it's affordable. I can't recommend this enough. Everyone needs this and you know it. That's why you made it this far. Enjoy.

Small Yet Mighty

Take off all of the plastic. I know. That's a weird way to start a review, but you'd be amazed at how many people don't do this simple yet extremely important thing and call the Geek Squad asking "what's wrong with their brand new purchase. "
With that being said, Shark has made me a very happy robot owner over the years and it's an honor to be able to say that they've continued with that very trend. The Navigator is a smaller, yet, more powerful iteration of the Shark AI Ultra with out the mop attachment. This also means that it's much more affordable. Let me tell you. That counts. The Navigator is easy to set up and pair with the Shark app( Because everything has an app.) But this is great for when you want to start up a cleaning cycle, even on days or times when you don't already have it programmed to clean. I often get phone calls from work on holidays and I need to send my robot vac home , to keep the office alarm from going crazy. Yes. Right there , at the tip of your fingers. Total control. Again, as this is a smaller vac, it does require a more hands-on approach to cleaning, but it really takes no time at all. Plus it way easier than lugging a bloom and dustpan around, or even pushing a clunky vaccum cleaner around. It maps out your place and remebers where certain peices of furniture are so it can go around it. And this little guy is powerful. It gets up dirt that you didn't even know was there. If the charging station was a little bigger and had a dust tray, I would be buying more these for family and friends for the holidays, and giving this a 5 star review. But it doesn't andI still see myself gifting a couple. Simple and easy and it comes with an extra brush. I happily recommend this vac to new Robot owners and office workers.

Yale Has It On Lock

This is quite possibly the fifth keypad lock set that I've reviewed in just around two years. And I really thought that it was going to be a total pain to put these things on. While some are more difficult to put on that others, They all seem to go on relatively easily. The instructions can seem a little tedious at first so if you don't feel comfortable, have a freind help or call a professional. But doing that, will show you that you've spent money that you could've otherwise saved. As for this Yale unit. This will be the second ideration of it's kind that I've put on. The first time, I felt a bit self-conscious and I ended up asking a friend to help me. He's a certified door guy, so I wasn't worried. He showed me the process and I was like, "Really? Is that all?" All you need is a screwdriver and some calming tunes( The 2nd thing is optional yet highly recommended). Eveyrthing else is in tthe box. From the keypad, the deadbolt, mortis set and even the cylinder. The wiring is easier than the last one, as it doesn't require any extra pieces as before.The keypad is smaller than it's predecessor, which makes it look cleaner. Now, mind you. This setup comes with it's own key. This will replace the key from your original deadbolt.( This is very important if you plan on putting this on an apartment door.) PLEASE check with apartment management to make sure that this is okay. They have the right to deny you that, as it does restrict random access into your dwelling. It's still their property. The next thing you'll need is wifi and a smartphone for the Yale app. This will allow for mobile access for when you aren't home and someone needs entry. That is, if you haven't given out any temporary access codes (which I happen to think are the coolest.) This lock can also be connected to your smarthome. Allowing you to use voice locking. Honestly, the only thing I have to say, negatively is, I'd wished it gave me the ability to use the old apartment key.( this is still an option. But that does require a professional.) Other than that, this is a great Yale lock and I highly recommend it for houses, offices and even sheds. It would be cool for apartments, but remember to clear it with land-lord and you're all set. Mind you, I'm not a locksmith, so anyone can do this.

For someone who is heavy into graphic design, would this laptop be suitable? My MacBook Pro does great with adobe photoshop and illustrator. Will this be able to replace that?
I wouldn't throw that Mac book out just yet. I'm sure you'll find it can do mostly everything else though.
