I found that the item won't work right out of the box. It comes with an RCA cable, but no optical or coax one. I had to purchase an optical cable. I notice that it wasn't working. In checking the connection, found that you have to make sure that both ends are plugged in all the way. After that, worked great.

I used it to replace my klh that had died after 10+ years. The Polk unit is a little smaller, which allowed me to stash it inside of my entertainment center, instead of on top like the klh. I think the bass is a little tighter than before and still rocks the walls. It adds just the right amount of punch to offset my twin towers. It has plenty of head room and doesn't need much volume.

Would not work with pk5000 modem
