The series I would give a solid 6 out of 5 if possible. The packaging in this set is sadly lacking for convenience of use and disc protection. Extras and overall coolness for a collector that already has an older release again earns this release a 5 star rating. But if this is going to be your only everyday set to watch the series... It would only be worth 3 stars. So, if you aleady one a set and are a big fan, needing everything Firefly BUY IT NOW! If you value discs and want to watch this show all the time skip this release and buy an old used copy of an older release that while not as cool, is better for the discs protection.

I rate the movie a solid 5 stars. The series Firefly I would give 6 out of 5 stars if possible. The new 2017 4K release with DVD and Digital Copy falls short because it is NOT U/V UltraViolet Digital. More and more recent releases are going away from the U/V licensing due to cost savings. Sadly this release is one of them. If you want the freedom to use digital on many providers, as U/V has provided, buy an older release with U/V. With this release I could only choose between Fandango or iTunes. I picked Fandango needing to create a new account. Linked my U/V account to it. Then verified the 4K Serenity release shows a Digital licence that is NOT UltraViolet so I can only watch it through Fandango. I really do not want to install and configure yet another stupid streaming app on all my devices just for one movie, even for one that is as GREAT as Serenity, so I doubt I will ever watch this movie on any streaming device unless I buy an older release again that has an UltraViolet license.
