This was my first purchase of the Hue series. I love my Hue set, but here are a few things I wish I would have known/realized..
-The bridge is very easy to setup.
-The included lights are flood lights. Most likely will not fit in some lamps (you will need to purchase the smaller light bulbs for certain lamps.)

I love my Philips Hue lightstrips. I have two of them - one mounted on the back of my TV for a glow and the other mounted underneath my kitchen cabinets. These do not get overheated, they are very easy to set up and allows for you to create your own vibe in whichever room you chose.
Be conscious of corners/angles while applying the adhesive. Corners can be tricky as the light does not necessarily bend well. Also, these do have to be plugged in to the wall. They do not have battery functionality.

RIP Vents

This product will still scratch/damage your vents, even though it advertises doing the opposite. Any slight bumps into the mount can send the device tumbling, as it gets detached from the vents. In hindsight, I would rather purchase the suction cup mount for my phone. The only pro to this product is it's conveniently located lower in the dash of my car

I purchased the Chromecast to avoid buying another cable box for the bedroom. This way I'm able to leverage my current cable package (HBO, Starz, etc.) and broadcast from my phone. There is also a good number of supported apps for Chromecast. It's an added plus to use YouTube and Chrome - and send it to the TV as needed. Also comes with an HDMI extender. It was a life saver for my TV because without the extender, it wouldn't of worked due to being in such a tight spot. Definitely worth the $35.

Used for two story condo

We purchased this to extend the wifi in our condo upstairs. Setup was relatively simple. The instructions do not mention consolidating the access points into one network. The extender will take your existing wifi SSID and add "_ext" on the end of it. Not a big deal if you want to keep the two separate. However, our goal was to seamlessly switch between the better connection. So we were able to rename the extender to the exact name of our wifi/SSID. The signal seemed stronger - but did not notice any differences in speed. We ended up returning the product.
Summary: It does its job. Just did not serve desired purpose in our home.
