my HP 6500 wont allow me to email a document after I scan it. I'm sure it's probably user error but I can't figure it out any help is appreciated

when you save the image to the desktop, see if you can "save as" and do it as a word doc or a PDF file

if it does just JPEG, you should just be able to open the document then do the save as. This should give you and easier way to email from your email account...hope I understood your question
