Withings is back to its former greatness after being purchased back from Nokia. I pretty much own every single product in their line now primarily due to the pandemic.
The thermometer is accurate, insanely convenient, stylish, supports multiple users, battery lasts forever, Apple HealthKit savvy, app is great and their own Cloud service collates and tracks data from all of its devices in a clear and attractive manner.

Actual, real in others words, next-gen update to its predecessor in every sense. Even the subtly grippy texture is a pleasure to touch. Aside from the ‘a bit too small’ and oddly shaped PS logo shaped home button I have zero complaints.

The first-use shock makes it all worth it. I’d spent countless hours building a base on an inhospitable planet in flat 2D. Then, to put on the headset and suddenly, I mean really all of a sudden, be standing there, in that actual base. Then stroll outside. Look up at and into the branches above at a particular species of cartoon tree I’d seen a hundred times. You’re there. Pretty near astonishing stuff.

Worthwhile update to previous model; even if you haven’t stepped into 4K tv-wise. Lots of things look nicer and it’s faster all around. Definitely upgrade to an SSD post purchase. Then put on your PSVR and wander around the galaxy in No Man’s Sky.
