Video of criminal activity a good thing.

Cameras are good when placed in areas a criminal would spend most of their time. Good when placed looking at windows from inside the home. A typical burglar comes in through a window or door and to be able to capture their stupid face is good.

I don’t find that Apple plans are as good as Best Buy. With Best Buy you say you have an issue. Show them and it’s replaced. With apply you tell them you schedule a consultation. Someone tries to fix your item and then you spend the next week waiting for a replacement typically refurbished. But this is my experience. Wrote a review on yours.

Never a place with a warranty service like Best Buy. Even circuit city in the day couldn’t keep up with the amount of damage one can inflict and still get a replacement. Ok. It is accidental protection. So when accidents happen Best Buy is here to help. And they have.

Kids playing Wii. Kids swinging joysticks around like crazy strap breaks and hit the Tv, blender, kitchen appliance bam. Broken. It’s nice to have a warranty to take cover of the damage and what better place to get a warranty on those high dollar items.

Angry wife causes damage....

Always get protection on high dollar items. One day your sitting there and turn the tv on. Then notice pixels burned out. Covered. Earthquake happens. Tv falls. Covered. You upset the wife, she throws a glass, misses your head and hits the Brand new 75” tv. They don’t offer counseling, but At least Best Buy has your back to replace the tv. Good to go.

Is the wire for power? Does it connect through wifi like the door bell?
Yes it connects through WiFi. It will be best to set next to router for initial setup to make sure all works well. Then make sure app is on you phone. Then when you open app you can ADD device. It works really well. Then play with it to make sure it detects everything, or what you choose as far as motion zones. Happy shopping.

I have an extension cord laying down on my plant bed which is used for my outdoor decorative lighting and is exposed to water when it rains. This is plugged in inside my garage to a 220v outlet. Can I plug in the Ring Spotlight in this extension cord?
I would imagine mixing water and electronics would be bad. It comes with a standard 120 v plug. I know they make cases for outdoor connections that protect from elements maybe that would work for you. But they make this camera battery operated and for an additional charge ty can buy a solar panel that plugs into it which would mean no extension cords. Happy shopping.
