Workers were fine, BB didn't prepare them however

Purchased "Stackable dryer". Was told by the installers that a stackable kit is required. Too late as here they are. So they installed side by side.
Also, product required I purchase a dryer hose kit. Installer said hose kit doesn't meet code. Why require the sale of a non code compliant idem?
