Great camera and really like the light levels

This has worked very well for me and the light really helps because my work area is darker and I didn't want to come across dark on camera. Easy to install and use - just works when you plug it in. Only thing I wish it had was an indicator that the camera was in use. I just unplug it due to security when not using it.

Camera and floodlights work fine. I'm very impressed with the sensitivity of the lights coming on when you walk from the sides. It is close to 180 degrees. The camera itself has a bit of a narrow visibility. Note this is made to install over an existing outside light. I did not have that so bought a junction box, and a heavy duty extension cord. Cut the end off the cord to hook to camera and plugged into outside socket. Put wires in junction box and sealed it up with sealant. Works great.

What is the source of the photos ? My phone or my computer ?
The source is whatever you want it to be (phone, computer, tablet, etc) but that source then puts the pictures on the Aura server. So either through an Aura app on your phone or the Aura website you transfer what pictures you want to show on the frame. The frame is always asking for the next picture from the Aura server. What I did was just tell Aura to automatically pull pictures to their server from a Google Photos shared album. In that way I never use the Aura app to pick pictures. By putting a new one photo in the shared album it is enough to show it on the frame as Aura will do the rest on its own.

With camera mounted above garage doors 8ft high, approximately how many feet straight out will camera detect motion and activate?
They tend to activate on a 180 degree in front of the camera (more than the camera image can see). In terms of distance away I would say it depends on how angeled up or down the camera is but several (10 or 15 feet) away. Be sure to consider the flood cam also for over a garage. It has much brighter light.
