Old cords get frayed, from time to time, and/or get chewed up by kittens, so they need to be replaced as necessary. Cords are needed for the multiple iphones in the house so was necessary to make sure I bought enough of them. Of course they all work find and i'm sure will continue to do so untile the next kitten tests its teeth on them.

Geek Squad did the installation of the new fridge, but this kit was required. Instalation was quick, including this kit, and unit was up and running in minutes, thanks to the Geek Squad installers. Didn't have to raise a sweat or bat an eyelash. And removal of the old fridge was part of the deal. Still have an issue connecting to the home internet, but that's secondary to an operating fridge. I'll eventually get the internet connection figured out.

I bought two of these cameras so that I might watch my kittens misbehave while I'm at work. At first, I was not able to get the camera to connect, using instructions provided with the product but after contacting customer support, setup was quick and easy.
I recently realized that I can switch to 1080P for more clarity. Camera is working great and automatically tracks any movement.

I was lucky enough to pick up a discarded TV (I am an avid junk collector), but then realized shortly thereafter that I needed this adapter to connect it to my computer, which I had forgotten, only has DisplayPort connections, one of which was already in use with my monitor. This device allowed to make the connection to the "free" TV I collected. (It looks like it was discarded because it would run for 10 minutes then shut down. Turning off the "sleep timer" solved that issue!)

I have a home server with over 80TB of storage capacity. Recently I lost the ability to connect to it over my home network. As it serves as network storage for all my music, movies, photos and some personal files. Having lost all network connections to the server, I have been unable to stream or access any of my stored data. Until I figure out what's going on with the server, I decided to buy this portable drive as an interim solution, and have begun to store my data on it by slowly downloading some of the accessible data on the server. I have then "shared" that data on the network so that I can access it from any device connected to the network and it has functioned perfectly! Once accessed on any device, streaming is seamless and fast. I have moved a ton of stuff to this drive and when I check "properties", very little memory is used up.

Hey l, my house only has phone lines and no Ethernet ports. Could this be a short cut.

So I just purchased a HP laptop for work and it doesn't have an ethernet port, so I had to purchase an adapter separately. Will this work with an Ethernet-USB adapter ???
I have an HP laptop that randomly decides to go into airplane mode and turns off the WiFi, isolating it from the home network and from the internet. My solution to the problem was to use a pair of these units as Ethernet extensions to that laptop. It functioned for several years in that mode, until one of the paired units failed.

WHAT MBPS speed will it support
It's documentation claims that it will support up to 1GB of bandwidth. I have used a pair to stream HD video to my TV for several years until one of the units failed. Up to that point, the pair had no issue supporting HD streaming to the TV AND to a remote computer.

So do the two adapters need to be on the same electrical circuit? I ask because all my power in the basement runs on its own circuit, and is definitely not on the same circuit as my existing router today.

Will this provide internet to a pc in a remote building 250' away on the same electrical service as my router in the house ?
According to the documentation, it should work. I have had several units in my condo operating on different circuits for a few years, though none of my condo wiring runs come close to what you're trying to do.
