Bigger is Better!

My husband and I recently ordered this refrigerator online. We could pick the delivery date (less than a week out) and we had to have the Slate color, to match our other appliances. We wanted this bigger size and are very happy with it. Since it is so big, it took longer for the inside to cool down but, it is now nice and cold.
We had another GE that was a lot smaller. We redid our kitchen and made the area for a frig big enough for this. The inside is much nicer and better built than the small version. It is also much quieter. We love it.

These kinds of things are changed out when the delivery guy brings in the new washer. This time the dryer has a water line too, because it shoots a little bit of water when you want to steam things. I guess it is doing its job!

This washing machine is wonderful. I especially like that Samsung has an app that allows me to pick from many options for washing many different items. You "Download" your option to the washer and then the app will tell you how many minutes until it is done. I am getting my laundry done much quicker. For those of you who aren't very good at figuring out things on your phone, when you are in the options on the app, you have to drag the option up to the top of the screen. Then the app will do that washing option. You can also pick from a "Laundry Recipe" that might be a little easier to use.

This is a nice freezer, nothing fancy, but it does the job. The seal of the door, is very tight. Takes both hands to open the door. One on the door handle and the other holding the top of the freezer. I wish there was a big bin/bucket to hold a bag of ice. I’m looking!

Poor Design

I had to get this narrow frig because of the size of the opening in my kitchen. I have a few problems with the plastic shelving on the doors - the front angles inward and is not squared off. Makes it hard to store more than a couple of things like milk or orange juice jugs. Also, the plastic drawers for the cheese and meats runs the width of the frig and never pushes back in smoothly. They should be separate drawers. There are also very tiny plastic shelves on the door with the tiny icemaker, that are so narrow that they might only hold a tube of tomato paste or a couple of small salad dressing bottles. This frig cost a lot of money, but it is a poor design all around. It makes me want to redesign my whole kitchen, just so I can get a different frig. The only thing that I like is the Slate finish.

My house has a built-in foot-tall platform for the washer-dryer. It measures 59 x 29.75. The width is fine, but the machines will stick out a few inches. That's OK, as long as the front feet remain on the platform. How far back are the front feet?
I measured mine and the feet start about 2 1/4 inches behind the front of the machine. I have uploaded a picture.
