Decent color work, forgettable music, poor script, and bad fight choreography. It feels like the first 15 minutes of a better film stretched out to two hours.

Great series and I can't wait for part of this season and the debut of Season 2. Great martial arts anime similar to things like Yu Yu Hakusho or Bleach.

This is a great open world RPG. A bit like GTA or Bully with magic and a dodge heavy combat system. One of the better Harry Potter games on a while that didn't include LEGO. Great Story, presentation, and fun gameplay.

The only thing I dislike is the lack of the extended editions in 4K. Other than that, this is pretty great. There is a bit of Digital Noise Reduction in many places but it's not too bad.
Two generations from now, a climate change-ravaged Earth will depend on artificial oxygen-and a contamination to the supply looks to write man's last chapter. A single message is transported back to our present-InchSend Ethan WhyteInch-and how ordinary tunnel laborer Whyte (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is supposed to both reach and rescue the future fuels this stylish sci-fi saga from Australia. Ryan Kwanten, Leeanna Walsman, Deborah Mailman, Sana'a Shaik co-star. 114 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

If you don't really like the main character, you're going to have a pretty boring time. I ended up having to put this at 1.5 speed to finish it. I almost NEVER do that. The acting was flat, dull, and just.. it felt like someone had created a few landscapes for a green screen and then based a movie on that. The concept was.. well.. fine and straightforward. But yeah. Bootstrap Paradox done poorly.

This is a bit of a weird movie. It's Die Hard with.. Santa. Yeah. But this Santa has a dark backstory and brings down some.. well.. kind of magical... justice on those who are "naughty." The movie has a pretty straightforward home invasion/hostage situation story but it makes up for that by having inventive kills and really likable main characters. The first fifteen minutes are a bit rough but once it starts going, it never stops. I'm watching this every year, same as It's a Wonderful Life, Die Hard, and Gremlins. All great Christmas movies.
The one-time bane of nearly every critic in America, the blood-soaked first film in the franchise has gone on to cult classic status. Decades after the drowning death of adolescent Jason Voorhees and the barn murders of a pair of young lovers, scenic Camp Crystal Lake reopens. Now the place is crawling with campers and young, naive, S*x-hungry counselors... and a maniacal killer! And just what is the deal with this Jason kid? Adrienne King, Betsy Palmer, Kevin Bacon, Ari Lehman star. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby TrueHD 5.1, Dolby Digital mono, French Dolby Digital mono, Spanish Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles English (SDH), French, Spanish; audio commentary; featurettes; behind-the-scenes footage.

On a post-apocalyptic Earth unable to support new biological life, brilliant 13-year-old Vesper (Raffiella Chapman) foraged with the help of a drone piloted by her infirm dad (Richard Brake)-while not developing her own strains of sustainable plants. Well-drawn European sci-fi adventure co-stars Eddie Marsan, Melanie Gaydos, Edmund Dehn. 114 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

A depressing, run around the woods, science fiction movie that just appears to make things up as it goes along. The world building is interesting in a Terry Gilliam sort of way; but the choices and story hurt the film a lot. It became mostly an exercise in... "I guess I'm still watching this."
The effects are okay, the actors do what they can with what they are given. It makes a cooler poster than it does a movie.

This is not a horror movie. It's a "who dunnit" movie that sounds like it will be like Glass Onion but ends up a bit like a movie called 2LDK. If you know that movie, you know what kind of fun you are in for. Despite the strange "zoomer" script, the acting is great and it was a fun ride the first time through and a better film upon rewatching it.

This movie is a bit silly and oddly paced but the quirkiness of the story makes it a classic similar to Goonies.
Some of the special effects don't really hold up and some story beats are a bit... cringe. However, it looks crisp and still has a fun feel to it that comes across in the writing and acting.
